We just started the school year and a new chapter in GBB Austin history. A few days ago we got word from Adriana about 2 potential projects for our school’s brigades. We chose to work on the partnership with Patronato de Nutricion, an NGO that combats hunger and alleviates poverty. I can’t wait to get started! When in Panama, we will be meeting with the leaders of 4 farms to help them market their products to local resorts, hotels, and restaurants. The hope that is through their example of success, other farms in the area will follow the lead and gain success as well.
We’re holding info sessions this week to get interested students involved. It’s amazing to see how impressed people are when they hear of the work that Brigades does and the success of the projects.
