Thank you again to everyone who donated toward our Take a Stand, Give a Seat fundraiser! The students at the newly constructed school in Santa Rosa, Honduras now have desks, chairs, and whiteboards, helping to ensure they will be able to focus on their studies and learn in comfort!
More exciting news from Architecture Brigades: Recently, volunteers from Tulane Architecture Brigades conducted the first ever education day with the children of Santa Rosa. Everyone had a great time making geodesic domes and working on other educational activities based on design, teamwork, and building. After the educational activities in the morning, Architecture Brigades held a Honduran feast with members of the community, followed by a few rounds of sack races, musical chairs, and numerous games of futbol (soccer) between the brigaders and the school kids!
