In June, 2011, professionals from Deloitte participated in a Brigade to the Kuna Yala islands in Panama to provide business consulting to micro-enterprises and to help launch new businesses. We recently received this amazing letter (see below) from the indigenous community of Nalunega, thanking the group for their efforts. We are always thrilled to see such positive feedback from the communities we work in! Congratulations to the G3B brigade and thank you for serving as an inspiration and catalyst for change!
Participants in the G3B Brigade are fundraising for more CIF (the Community Investment Fund represents donations raised by volunteers which Global Brigades will then use to purchase supplies and materials for the community and its business ventures) until July 30th. At that point, Global Brigades will work on purchasing the CIF materials for the community. Check our social media sites for updates and photos of us delivering the CIF investments, and for follow-up in the communities.
Read the letter from the community below, and see a photo album of your Brigade on Facebook by clicking here (be sure to tag yourself and your friends!). Thanks, Michelle for sharing these amazing pictures!

For: Global Brigades and Deloitte
The community of Nalunega we want to say thank you so much to the whole group that came from so far to share your knowledge and offer us training in business and also for the support that you had given us.
We hope that this visit isn’t the last. The doors of our community will always be open to you all and we will always have you with open arms, with the main idea being “progress”.
We hope that BABA and NANA, our Creators, always make you shine and accompanies you all in your return to your home land.
We will always have you in our hearts for all the support you gave us.
Thank you a million and we hope that GOD blesses each and every one of you.
