Water Brigades in Honduras had the privilege to show Andy, Chris, and Jay of Portland Global Initiatives around the community of Buena Vista, highlighting the impact their grant is making there. It was a fun and exciting few days spent touring the water system, meeting with the Water Council, interviewing families and last, but definitely not least, working on the system! The community welcomed the group with open hearts, insisting they come back for the inauguration of the system. Andy, Chris and Jay are excited to return soon, as they gained a unique perspective on the coffee growing process and even got some hands-on experience! Water Brigades can’t thank Portland Global Initiatives enough for how much they’ve done for Buena Vista and is looking forward to another visit very soon!
