We recently got this awesome update from our friends at Buena Vida Coffee:
The month of November proved be a real tipping point for Buena Vida Coffee. Many thanks to our new partnership with Global Brigades, we sold over 1,400 bags of coffee this month, totaling over $14,000 in sales. We made a net profit of over $4,000, which will be donated to Sociedad Amigos de los Niños. To date, we helped over 29 Global Brigade groups raise around $5,000 total for their trips. The feedback we heard from groups has been excellent, many of them thanking us for the fundraising opportunity. In addition, many groups have gone on to host an additional coffee fundraising sale or are planning to do one next semester.
As a student run, not-for-profit company, we believe that coffee should not only energize our mornings and pace our Saturdays, but it should also allow us to give back. We call this balanced lifestyle the good life, or in Spanish, “Buena Vida”.
