Before you do anything – Spread the word through FACEBOOK: Go on the Global Brigades Facebook page:
GB Day event: JOIN, MOBILIZE others and SHARE your GB DAY ideas on the wall TODAY!
1) Facebook Profile Picture Campaign:
Change your profile picture on Facebook to the Global Brigades Day Photo (visit the Facebook page and copy the profile picture to your personal Facebook page) for one week! Encourage others to do the same! Update your status with the Global Brigades event page and a quote about your Global Brigades experience. Share your experience and inspire others to join in!!!
2) GRAYGLOBE:
Grayglobe is a new innovative fundraising endeavor focused on providing apparel and accessories to grassroots fundraising efforts that support sustainable development initiatives around the globe. Working directly in conjunction with Global Brigades, the world’s largest student-led development organization, all Grayglobe proceeds are reinvested into socially minded sustainable development projects including student-led development efforts in Honduras, Ghana, and Panama.
Our slogan is MOBILIZE.EMPOWER.IMPACT. The message is simple and applicable to all who wish to create social change and provide access to basic healthcare and resources in order to pursue a life free of poverty.
Using Grayglobe to fundraise on your campus is easy:
1) To register your group, visit
www.grayglobe.com and click on the link “Affiliate Sign In” in the top right corner of the page. This will redirect you to
globalbrigades.org/grayglobe where you will create your group’s account. (Example: Water Brigades at USC)
2) Once you have signed up as an affiliate group you will be given a personalized URL within the shopping cart pages in which any sales made while signed in will credit your group’s account so that all proceeds go directly towards your future brigades.
3) You will use this account to sell t-shirts as a fundraising campaign. You must share the personalized URL with all interested participants to be credited for the t-shirt purchases. They can purchase the shirts directly from the site (your personalized url) or your group can order in bulk and sell the t-shirts on campus
4) Orders will be collected over a 2-3 week period in order to reduce costs in production and increase proceeds for your group. At the end of the 2-3 week period all products will be shipped. Your group may also buy products in bulk at cost in order to be flexible with product prices allowing your group to raise as much as your group deems necessary for your project.
