Pennsylvania State University has generously donated over $3,500 in order to purchase a portable restorative unit for our dental stations!

This newest restorative unit gives Dental Brigades in Honduras a total of four units and we are hoping to increase this number in the near future.

Restorative units allow dentists on our brigades to provide fillings for patients who otherwise would have had to have extractions. Due to Penn State’s incredible donation, patients seen on our Medical and Dental Brigades in Honduras have a greater chance than before of having their teeth restored rather than completely removed. Thank you to Penn State from Global Brigades and all of our patients!

We are continuing to receive donations for these units. If you would like more information, contact Daniel Truong at DanielTruong@globalbrigades.org or visit our empowered.org page at http://www.empowered.org/Restorative-Unit-Funds to make a donation directly toward purchasing a new unit.
